OUR FOCUS IS TO UNFOLD THE QUALITIES OF THE MATTER OR THE INGREDIENT AND BRING THEIR ESSENCE, TEXTURES, POTENTIAL AND LIMITS TO LIGHT.
We want to spark curiosity with BRIK, prompting people to look at chocolate, food and design a little differently. Curiosity is also our own starting point, often sparked by an unknown catalyst.
Ideas are the ground where we play an infinite game to explore without expectation or an end goal.
When toying with ideas we put our brain in our hands and let our fingers do the thinking.
It’s a process of trial and error that leads to us to thoroughly explore, probe and delve into materials, ingredients and textures to replicate them in chocolate through a range of skills and know-how, sprinkled with a touch of chance.
We constantly come across new interests that we need to understand to implement in our process and products. Every ingredient, method, material, and texture has been thoroughly researched to keep quality high and to be as environmentally sound as possible.
Our unorthodox designs of tomorrow are the result of restless testing: folding, mixing, moulding, chiselling, polishing, tasting and then doing it all again until we are satisfied. We invite our customers to join our development, making our samples available to purchase in the webshop

WE WISH TO MINIMISE STORAGE AND RENT COSTS IN ORDER TO PRIVILEGE QUALITY INGREDIENT CHOICES ON BEHALF OF OUR CLIENTS. WE DO NOT KEEP STOCK AND FRESHLY PRODUCE EVERY WEEK BASED ON ORDERS AND PROJECTS.

BRIK PACKAGING IS BIODEGRADABLE AND HOME COMPOSTABLE. THE BIO-PLASTIC WE USE, BREAKS DOWN QUICKLY INTO CARBON DIOXIDE, WATER AND BIOMASS. IF YOU’RE A GEEK FOR THE NITTY GRITTY; THE BIO-PLASTIC IS CERTIFIED ACCORDING TO THE EN13432 STANDARD AND HAS THE OK BIOBASED CERTIFICATE FROM VINOTTE.
WE INCENTIVISE RE-USING AND RECYCLING BY GIVING ANYTHING THAT COMES THROUGH OUR FRONT DOOR A NEW LIFE OR PURPOSE.
ANY LEFTOVERS FROM PRODUCTION IN THE KITCHEN ARE REPURPOSED IT INTO OTHER PRODUCTS SO NOT A SLITHER OF CHOCOLATE GOES UNEATEN. ON THE RARE OCCASION A BATCH OF CHOCOLATE IS AESTHETICALLY FAULTY, WE SELL IT ONLINE AS BRIK OFF’S AT A REDUCED COST.
